Day 6

Arrival in San Cristobal Island, Puerto Baquerizo Moreno.  A group lunch and a brief orientation tour where we spot crabs, sea lions, birds, iguanas and more!

Lunch with the group

Before embarking out into the "wilds", the group has lunch at a local eatery. El Rincon de Sebas. A set lunch includes soup, fish, rice and a drink.

Sally Lightfoot Crabs

These guys are found around the rocks and the shore, sharing space with the sea lions

Sea Lions

If you love sea lions, this is your paradise.  There are an abundance of sea lions all around town.  It is fun to watch them leave the water and come ashore.

Birds

The Galapagos is home to so many unique bird species.  You can spot them anywhere.

Marine Iguanas

My personal favorite is the Marine Iguana. The iguanas bask on the boardwalk and on the rocks next to the shore.

Dinner

Dinner at Midori's sushi pub.  A great view of the beach and life on the island.

Day 7

A day  in San Cristobal Island, Puerto Baquerizo Moreno with an all day tour included with the package!

The giant Galapagos tortoises greet us

A drive across the island brings us to a local home of hundreds of giant tortoises.

Next stop is Puerto Chino

This stop includes a beautiful walk down to the beach.  The trail is flat and easy, with a nice surprise at the end of the trail.

A great blue-footed booby

This guy was sitting on the rocks along the beach, just waiting to be photographed.

In town, the best market in San Cristobal

This market was everyone's favorite, with lots of food and beverages to choose from.

Lunch at Lucky's

A set menu at Lucky's includes soup, fish, and a drink.

La Loberia Beach

The afternoon includes a  trip to La Loberia beach, where you can swim with the sea lions, or just simply bask on the beach next to your new friend!

Dinner

Finish off the day with a pizza dinner on the beach at Giuseppe's.  Great location, great pizza!

Day 8

A day on our own on San Cristobal Island, Puerto Baquerizo Moreno - time to head out and explore, starting with an optional tour from exotica.

Boat ride to elephant rock for some off-the-boat snorkeling

A sea turtle swims on the surface of the water. All kinds of birds and animals are spotted from the boat and in the water.

Beach time

We spend some great time on the beach to wrap up the tour.

The Interpretation Center

Back in town, we visit the interpretation center.

A hike along the trail

A very long trail runs along Playa Baquerizo with some amazing views with many closeups of a variety of marine life.

Snow cones - get your snow cones!

Back in town, the locals hang out at Playa Mann beach, where they sell food, drinks and snow cones.  Perfect after a long, hot hike.

Dinner

Dinner at Chi's wraps up the day.  Poutine in the Galapagos, can't beat it!

Day 9

Departure from San Cristobal Island, Puerto Baquerizo Moreno

Breakfast

An early morning stop for breakfast.

One last good-bye

A walk around the neighborhood to say good-bye to all of our new friends.
